The Vrbovec Museum in Nazarje offers a glimpse of the heritage of the forestry and timber industries, two activities which have left an indelible stamp on the Upper Savinja Vally because of the specific nature of the natural environment. The contents of the museum draw mainly on the lives of simple folk: woodcutters, carters, sawyers and rafters. For these people, living as they did in a densely forested area cut off from the outside world, timber represented their only source of income. Come back with us into the past and awaken memories of forgetten customs and traditions.
