The Gorenjska Regional Museum has exhibitions in the City Hall and in the Prešeren House. The City Hall houses the “Iron Thread” archeology collection, the “Folk Art in Gorenjska” ethnology collection, and a collection of works by the sculptor Lojze Dolinar. The Prešeren House contains a memorial museum devoted to France Prešeren, Slovenia’s greatest poetThe parish house was, bulit in 1749, is the most important monument of barogue architecture in Kranj.
By its type it continues by tradicion of nobelmen's palaces. Its ground is shaped in the form of the horseshue encircling the arcade yardopening to the canyon of Kokra. Its most representative part is the main façade articulated by pilasters and decorated by portal of red stone. The baroque manor house is linked with the next buliding, the »Diocese« by a gallery chapel bulit in 1891. The buliding is the seat of the Museum of Gorenjska with a coultural-historical collection.
