In 1798 a new graveyard was arranged outside the town Kranj, and at the same time burying near the parish church ceased. A chapel of Holy Cross was built in the new graveyard and later pulled down when Prešeren's Park was arranged. The most important monuments in the park are: the tombstone of the poet Dr. France Prešeren, the tombstone of Simon Jenko, the grave of the familiy Majdič and the monumenz commemorating the victims of Bazovica.
