When the streets come to life The revival of old craft trades and crafts’ streets in the old town centre of Izola is the main goal of the project Street museum (a walk through the old crafts’ scenes), which is an additional tourist offer that contemporarily preserves cultural heritage. The visitors can discover crafts, customs, and life of Istrians as they once were by exploring numerous documents, photographs, pictures, and other historical exhibits which are set in 15 shops, restaurants, and craft workshops. In the future we aim to include these streets into traditional museum offer and bring back to life maritime crafts and skills which have a rich tradition here in Izola.
