In 1893, Josip Nikolaj Sadnikar, an avid collector of antiques started the first private museum in Slovenia. The collection contains fascinating exhibits such as old medieval weapons, secular and eclesiastical objects, old porcelain, authentic Persian rugs, original national costumes or paintings by different Slovene painters. Visits are possible upon prior arrangement.
