The Rifnik Archeological Park stands on the site of the largest Late Roman settlement in Slovenia. The settlement of the area stretches back to the period between the Late Stone Age and the Middle Ages.
 
On display are the foundations of two Early Christian churches, seven houses, and a wall with guardhouses, and there is a presentation of the excavations in a reconstructed prehistoric house.
