In the compact settlement of the old borough core of Šentjur stands the birth house of the Ipavec family of composers and doctors with its permanent exhibition of their lives and work. The cellar holds a wine shop with select wines, and an old linden tree and a well designed by architect Jože Plečnik adorn the garden. The house also has a hall for weddings.
