The exhibits of the Celje Regional Museum are on display at two locations in the city centre of Celje – at the Old Counts’ Mansion and at the Princely Palace. By visiting our permanent exhibitions, visitors take a stroll through time from pre-historic times to the present day. The following permanent exhibitions are on display at the Old Counts' Mansion:
The Lapidarium, where the stone monuments take you back in time to the Roman Celeia; The Cultural History Collection presents a rich collection of furniture, paintings, engravings and other objects dating from the 13th to the beginning of the
20th century. This exhibition also includes the “Step-by-step from Gothic to Historicism” exhibition for people with visual disabilities; The Celje Ceiling  - constitutes the main attraction of the museum and at the same time also one of the few and far between examples of secular paintings at the transition point between Renaissance and Early Baroque; The Ethnological Collection presents a rich selection of spiritual and material heritage of the Celje region; The Alma M. Karlin “Journeys”
Exhibition that provides an insight into the life of local globetrotter and authoress Alma M. Karlin (1889–1950). At the Princely Palace you can visit: Celeia - a town beneath today’s town  that includes a Roman road, a wall with the Western city gate and the foundations of two villas of Roman Celeia “in-situ”; The Counts of Celje Exhibition  that presents the rise and fall of the Counts of Celje Dynasty, including their skulls.
The museum has a museum shop as well where visitors can buy different souvenirs and the museum's own publications.

Archaeological parks: the Roman necropolis in Šempeter and Old Christian complex Rifnik above Šentjur.
In Celje you can also visit:  the Roman road, Hercules's temple, Old Christian piscina, Old Castle, Princely Court and Medieval walls with towers. The permanent exhibition Potočka zijalka Cave at the Firšt exhibition site, Logarska dolina 1, includes the possibility of visiting the cave.

March - October: 10.00 am - 6.00 pm, mondays and holidays: closed.
November - February: 10.00 am - 4.00 pm, sundays, mondays and holidays: closed.

Special feature: The Stara grofija Manor is one of the oldest and at the same time most important secular buildings in Celje.
