At the museum in the old mill, about 1,200 fossils of Slovenia from the collection of Stanislav Bačar are on display.
Among them are very rare specimens, some of them discovered here for the first time in the world and named after local sites. A part of the rich archeological history of Ajdovščina describing its settlement from prehistory to the early Middle Ages is presented by the “Fluvio Frigido–Castra–Flovius–Ajdovščina” exhibition.
