
In the close vicinity of Bovec, on a minor hill Ravelnik just by the road, there is an outdoor museum of the First World War.
An arranged circular path runs along the onetime Austro-Hungarian first line of defence. In addition to trenches and connection tunnels there are also caves, pillboxes, machine-gun emplacements and restored cabins. There are a lot of remains here in a relatively small area.

Walk of Peace.
Visitors center the Walk of Peace in Kobarid offers new
interactive exhibition of The Walk of Peace, which is free of charge.
Guided tours:The Walk of Peace in the Soča Region Fundation organizes guided tours along the
Walk of Peace, through outdoor museums and other sites of the Isonzo Front.
A guided tour can includes also the guide in the First-World-War-soldier’s uniform and the drinking of soldiers’ tea from genuine soldiers’ tin cups.
GUIDED TOURS ALONG THE WALK OF PEACE Access:
About 1 kilometre from Bovec in the direction of border pass of Predel/Predil and the Trenta valley, there is a parking site on the right side of the road. From the parking site, a path runs to the information board, where the circular path through the outdoor museum starts
