In the close vicinity of Bovec, on a minor hill Ravelnik just by the road, there is an outdoor museum of the First World War. An arranged circular path runs along the onetime Austro-Hungarian first line of defence. In addition to trenches and connection tunnels there are also caves, pillboxes, machine-gun emplacements and restored cabins. There are a lot of remains here in a relatively small area.
Visitors center the Walk of Peace in Kobarid offers new interactive exhibition of The Walk of Peace, which is free of charge.
A guided tour includes the guide in the First-World-War-soldier’s uniform and the drinking of soldiers’ tea from genuine soldiers’ tin cups. GUIDED TOURS ALONG THE WALK OF PEACE
