The countyside has managed to save many old farm houses unchanged of which some have been restored to become pleasant and neat young families' homes, although not all of them are engaged with agriculture. One of probably the most significant old farm houses is the Romihs' home in Trobni dol. The house has been stone made in its lower part, while the upper part is wooden. The south-west part of the house serves as the cellar and wine-press site, while the balcony above is made of wood and accessible by the stairs which also take a visitor to one of the entrance door into the house. The other entrance is in the north-east of the house. Inside the building, the living-room keeps a collection of old farm tools and equipment – pots, a cradle, pairs of shoes, books, pictures, spittoon, corn-mill, and yet many others. No exact date of the construction of the house has been recorded, however it is supposed to be built in the early 18th century. Some other restored old farm houses are also worth seeing, f.i. Anton Aškerc's home in Senožeti at Rimske Toplice (Figure) housing a museum now.
