This building is one of the oldest and most important buildings in Vrhnika. It is located by the banks of the Ljubljanica, where a river port existed until 1790. The Old Post Office (also the place where road tolls were taken) building and Inn are thought to have been originally constructed in the 15th century. The Holly Roman Emperor Charles VI spent a night in the Inn in 1728. In 1809 the Inn was renovated with the upper storey being removed.
