The monuments of historical past time arranged in a semi-circular order. Due to its fine preserved antique memorials from days of yore, Aškerc Square has now become the central square of the town and the scene of various events. A visitor would find the lower manor hardly identifiable for being severely damaged by the great fire in the end of the 15th century, now replaced by the buildings Aškerc Square no. 7, 8 and 9. The memorial tablet on the fa硤e of the Aškerc Square no.9 building has been dedicated to the historian Ignacij Orožen.
