Planinski dom Košenjak mountain hut, , , mountains hut alps cottage hiking alpine shelter, The mountain hut is located on the plateau on the southern side of Košenjak wich is the southernmost part of Golica (Koralpa). In the guest house there are 80 seats, counter and at the tables in front of the hut 200 seats; in 5 rooms are 9 beds, and 16 communal beds, toilets, washing room with warm and cold water; central heating, running water, electricity, telephone. The view The hut offers a beautiful view on the south side only as other sides are closed by Košenjak and nearby ridges. The ridges of Košenjak, descending towards the Drava Valley and the ravine of the stream Ojstriški potok can be seen, and on the other side of the Drava Valley the west part of the Pohorje Massif, Črneška gora and Uršlja gora. There is a much wider view from the top of Košenjak. Towards the east one can see the ridge of Košenjak towards the narrow Bistrica Valley and the hilly landscape with secluded farms on sunny slopes. The Pohorje Massif rises over the Drava Valley on the southeast. On the south side there are Paški Kozjak and Uršlja gora, and farther one can see the Posavje Hills ( Posavsko hribovje) with Kum. From the south towards the west there are the Savinja Alps with Raduha and Ojstrica in the foreground, Peca, Košuta and Obir. On the north there is the alpine pasture Svinška planina which rises over the Podjun Valley in Carinthia and in the vicinity expand the mountains of Golica. Access Car: the local partly asphalt road from Dravograd to Ojstrica, continuing along the forest road to the parking place at the hut, together 11km. Vid at the square Trg 4. julija in Dravograd through the settlement of Podgrad, past the ruins of the old castle, across Goriški vrh, past Trije križi and Lovska koča pri Tratineku hunting hut 3h. Interesting tours Košenjak (1522 m) 1h; Pernice (1059 m) along the path Pot čez Kozjak 3h30 and continuing to Gortina (370 m) by the main road Dravograd-Maribor another 1h45.
