Dom na Kofcah mountain hut, Balos 4, Tržič, mountains hut alps cottage hiking alpine shelter, The mountain hut is located on the Kofce alpine pasture on the south slope of Košuta. In three restaurant areas there are 70 seats, and there 6 rooms with 38 beds; toilet and a washing room with cold water; the main restaurant area is heated by the farmhouse stove, running water, photo-voltage system and a generator for electricity. The view From the hut there is a very wide view. On the east one can see the south slopes of Košuta, towards the southeast the peaks of the Kamnik Alps can be seen; on the south the view riches from Storžič across Kriška gora to Dobrča, on the part of the Carniola and on the horizon to Snežnik and the peaks in Gorski Kotar; on the west side there are the Julian Alps with Triglav on the horizon, in front of them is Pokljuka, and in the vicinity Begunjščica and north from it is Stol; north of the hut rises 10km long ridge of Košuta. Access Car: from Tržič along the local road through Dovžanova soteska to the settlement Putrhof in Jelendol 7km, from there the forest road to the Šija mountain pasture another 8km, from where it takes 30 minutes to the hut; from Podljubelj (Gostilna Ankele) along the forest road to the farm Matizovec 4km, from where it takes 1h to the hut. The BS Tržič and Podljubelj: from Tržič along the road Koroška cesta to the castle across Kamnik, Pirmance, Veliki vrh and the Kal Saddle 3h30; from Tržič along the road Cankarjeva cesta by the Tržiška Bistrica through the settlement Slap and Dovžanova soteska to the farm Lukec in Dolina, from there by the stream Kališnik and across the Kal Saddle 3h15; from Podljubel (Gostilna Ankele) along the forest road to the farm Matizovec continuing along the forest road 2h30.
