The highest Kanin Alpine Plateaus above the summit of Kanin, located 2200 m above sea level, are famous for their outstanding variety of surface karst configurations typical of the alpine karst.

Here one can find:
- žlebiči (grooves),
- škrapli (karrens),
- lašte,
- corrosion tables,
- kotliče (sinkholes),
- konte
and other phenomena.

The natural bridge below Vršič that is 10 m long and up to 3 m wide and ascends to 15 m above the basin with snow is a magnificent attraction.

The whole area of Kanin Alpine Plateaus is a nature reserve.
