The castle is situated on a gently sloping hill in the village Hrastovec in Velenje. The first mention of the castle originated already in 1207, so it may be today's building is Romanesque elements. Grad, FIA velikokratnim completion, one of the few preserved medieval buildings in the Slovenian.
