Access : The Puhan family tourist farm is situated in Bogojina, a village known for its church designed by the great Slovenian architect Jože Plečnik. Right above the church, on its northern side, there is a hill with a chapel on top. After a few minute's walk from the church to the top of the hill, you will find yourself in the yard of the Puhan farm
The Puhans are known for their excellent culinary offer. Guests love their bograč (a goulasch-like soup), dődoli (potato mush), cold cuts with Prekmurje ham, smoked shoulder butt, homemade sausages and other meat products, to which the hostess adds various delicious spreads. There are also traditional deserts such as posolanka (cake with cottage cheese) and the mouth-watering prekmurska gibanica (Prekmurje layer cake), with its four different fillings. In winter they also offer different pork specialties and sausages, including blood sausages and bujta repa (sour turnip hot pot).
Meals are always accompanied by carefully chosen wines produced by your host Jože. The Puhans also organize wine tastings for their guests in their beautiful wine cellar, lead by Jože, who is also a member of the European wine knight order.
The farm is a good starting point for visiting Terme 3000, the tropical garden in Dobrovnik, Bukovniško lake, the Love island in Ižakovci with its floating mill and other interesting sights of Prekmurje.
