Place of event
Lendava - old city center 4000 winemakers from Lendava's vineyards speaking as one say that far and wide there's nothing better, so why don't you try it yourself?
To the cheerful clapping of the windmills and the hospitality of the locals, we invite you to taste Lendava's excellent wines on September 1, 2012 in the old city center at the foot of Lendava's hills!
During the ripening of the grapes, Lendava feels a different beat. The air is warm, the wind
blows just enough to tease, and autumn directs us to honor this time festively. For years
Lendava's inhabitants and its many visitors have looked forward to each new grape harvest. An
ethnological touristic presentation of the harvest starts off with a parade through the center of
the old city. This event is a traditional reminder of customs related to the harvest in nearby
vineyards, as well as with rural activities carried out in the past in surrounding villages. It is
enriched by an opulent cultural program in which the groups taking part in the parade are
presented on stage and perform folk songs and dances. Booths where local handicrafts can be
observed and bought also dot the area. Together with Lendava's excellent wines, the event
includes rich and varied culinary offerings, ending late in the evening with music and
entertainment. Years of tradition
