tourist association, event organizer The association was founded in June 2006 and has 51 members. We devote ourselves mainly to the development of the village and to arranging cultural, tourist and sports events. We explore our
grandparent’s lives since medieval times up to today and present them through the Karst trail to anyone, who is interested in this unique piece of land. We also arrange wine tastings and promote
high- quality local wines. Moreover, we cooperate with Slovenes living in Italy, in joint tourist events.
In October, the traditional walk along the tails of the Isonzo Front takes place. On the trail line, there is a renovated church of St. Anastacia, which was built in the 15th or 16th century, with a
magnificently preserved Turkish encampment. The top of the Grofovi hribi hills offers a fascinating view of the Gulf of Trieste. The walk concludes in the old village school, which includes an exhibition of photographs, portraying the period when the
village was eradicated, as it was situated on the front line.
