The Tourist Culture and Sports Association of Dane and Kačiče-Pared (TKŠD) Mejame is located in Dane near Divača. It was founded in May 2005 on the initiative of a group of villagers and the Škocjan caves Park. Our main objective is to preserve the natural and cultural heritage on the area of villages Dane and Kačiče-Pared, to organize events and to cooperate in joint projects with partner organizations. We brought back an old village festivity, the opasilo »Kačišn’ca«, which takes place at the church of Mary’s Assumption in Kačice on the second Sunday in September. A day before, the painting extempore is held in Dane. Now, also a walk is arranged for this occasion, to present the cultural and historical heritage of the three villages and their breath-taking surroundings. Thanks to the 1001 KAL funds two ponds will be renovated near Dane (Pod kalom) and on Dansko polje (On Lasatka). The pond in Lasatke will also be included into the school learning trail. A cycling path crosses all three villagers – the Divača cycling circle. For this reason, we wish to place a tap with potable water next to the village well in Dane, which will soon be renovated. Our priority is to enliven and preserve our tradition, but this would never be possible without the dedication and voluntary work of our members.
