700 m
Height above sea level
beside a river; in the countryside; in the mountains

The waters of the
Lepenica River, soon after emerging from their source, after the first troughs and waterfalls, mysteriously disappear, however, after some distance source again and surprise us with steep,
100 m long channels.
Following the
Lepenica a road leads to the lodge
- planinski dom dr. Klementa Juga, from where marked paths wind their way to
Komna, to
Krn and to the
Krn lakes, where we find the largest Slovenian alpine lake.
The valley is an attractive mountaineers', fishermen's and horse-back riders' destination where, on the
Pristava Lepena dairy farm, thoroughbred
Lipizzaner horses can be ridden.
The idyllic tourist village, built in the
Trenta style is suitable for business meetings as well as for family holidays or as a place to stop on your way to places higher and further away.
We also recommend a visit to
Šunik Water Hurst, a powerful bio-energy point in the valley.
