Meetings in the Alps

It is a simple decision to hold your conference or meeting in Bled or Kranjska Gora, to ensure that everything goes according to your expectations. Organisers in either destination will make sure that it does, with their wealth of experience and their well-equipped facilities. They also have exceptional experience at the new conference centre at Brdo pri Kranju, where almost all the important meetings and summits were held during Slovenia’s presidency of the European Union in the first half of 2008.

An Alpine idyll

Although Brdo pri Kranju is Slovenia’s main state protocol venue, some of the facilities are always available to the public. The location is idyllic: the centre is surrounded by forest and ponds, at the very edge of the foothills of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. One major advantage is that it is very close to Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, which is just a few minutes’ drive away.

International experience

If a conference venue can be judged solely by the importance of previous events held there, Bled boasts an even longer international history than Brdo pri Kranju. This idyllic little town on a lake with an island has hosted a number of major summits attended by senior representatives of European countries. The Festival Hall has the greatest capacity, but there are large conference facilities at several of the hotels on the lake.

The facilities at Kranjska Gora are slightly lower in capacity, but are nevertheless capable of hosting a sizeable international conference.

There can be no cause for concern about restaurants and accommodation in either town: the selection is vast.
