A small village with the hamlet of Majerji is situated in a hollow where the Karst plateau sweeps down to the sea. North from the village is a rising Tabor; south from the village is a border with Italy.
“Jerihovca” or Valska jama cave at the crossroads for Vale should also be mentioned. In the First World War it was used probably as a hospital for Austro-Hungarian soldiers. Stairs and remains of a kitchen of Austrian soldiers are still preserved. Visits of the cave are organized by a caving club on a previous arrangement.
