The sleepy and idyllic village, with stone and storeyed houses, lies in
northern Karst, above the Raša river valley, almost a kilometre away from Avber. The vineyards, from which the teran wine is made, are protected from the bora wind by the oak forest Hutnik, where many mushrooms and sinkholes can be found. In the vicinity of the village, there is also a deep Karst precipice Čebarnica. The village surroundings offer the opportunity to take a break or go by bicycle along the trails and paths that are still passable.
Automobiles : On the road Sežana-Senožeče turn left after Štorje and drive towards Štanjel. Then turn right for Avber, continue through Avber to Gradnje.
