Jereka lies in Upper Bohinj valley with a lot of sun almost all year round. There is a road to Pokljuka through the village.  Jereka is coneccted with a small village Podjelje by road, which lies  higher.

On one side there is a village Češnjica, but we can come to Jereka also from Bohinjska Bistrica through a small canyon named Korita. From Jereka a walking path leads us directly to the sightseeing point in Koprivnik  Vodnikov  razglednik.
