In the Vipava Hills lies the village of Planina, with its many hamlets. At the church of St. Paul near the hamlet of Koboli, lies a prehistoric fort, which was inhabited in antiquity. It affords a beautiful view of the entire Vipava Valley all the way to the Goriška brda hills. The Church of St. Kocijan contains oil painting , the most important of which is Wolf's painting of St. Anthony of Padua.
