Lože is a tightly knit village in the Upper Vipava Valley. It is located at the foot of Vipava hills.

Through centuries, the village was spreading and gradually a settlement consisting of 2 parts (Srednja vas and Jamški) was formed.

Almost every building older than one hundred years has preserved beautifully designed window frames and portals - in inscriptions carved into them, they keep memory of the person who had them built.

By the road between Lože and Manče, there is a stone sign. The carved relief depicts crucifixion. It is a simple, folk stonecutting work.

One of the local attractions is also castle Lože.
