Slovenian Tourist Board
The Slovenian Tourist Board (STB) is the national umbrella tourist board, whose purpose is to plan and carry out the promotion of the country as a tourist destination, primarily in foreign markets.
STB is the national tourist board, and the only such institution in Slovenia.
Institute Council and Board of AdvisorsThe founder of the Slovenian Tourist Board exercises its rights and duties through the Board’s Council, which is the highest management body of the Board. The tasks of the Institute Council are primarily to adopt the statutes of the Board, the Board’s annual programme of work and financial plan, deliberation over its annual report and the performance of other tasks in accordance with the Decision founding the Public Institute of the Slovenian Tourist Board of 12 November 2009. The Institute Council of the Slovenian Tourist Board comprises the following 11 members: Eva Štravs Podlogar, Institute Council President mag. Vekoslava Gojčič, Institute Council Member mag. Damjan Pintar, Institute Council Member dr. Slaven Mićković, Institute Council Member Marko Rajšter, Institute Council Member mag. Gojko Zupan, Institute Council Member Janez Slabe, Institute Council Member Damijan Jaklin, Institute Council Member Danilo Daneu, Institute Council Member Jože Kotnik, Institute Council Member mag. Jernej Zajec, Institute Council Member In order to deal with issues and proposed solutions in the area of expert and programme work, the Board has a Board of Advisors. The Board of Advisors is a collegiate body that addresses issues in the area of the professional work of the Board, it deliberates over the expert basis for the programme of work and development of the Board, and issues opinions and proposals for the development of activities to the management committee and director. The Board of Advisors of the Slovenian Tourist Board comprises the following 15 members: dr.
