In the heart of the Kamniške-Savinjske Alps, Logarska dolina is one of the most beautiful alpine valleys in Europe. Set among the over 2,000-meter peaks are sunny meadows and pastures, charcoal-makers’ and foresters’ cottages, wooden flumes for transporting logs, and picturesque natural features beside the springs and tributaries of the Savinja River. From behind the green backdrop of beech forest, the impressive roar of the Rinka Waterfall resounds. The Logarska dolina Landscape Park is beautiful in every season. In spring, the first flowers appear from the ground through the soft grass, the larch turns green, and the beech leaves burst open. In summer, the gentle green floor of the valley becomes a blossoming meadow bordered by the dark green forest, and above it the sharp peaks of the Kamniške-Savinjske Alps pierce the blue sky. In autumn when the larch blazes yellow among the dark green pine just below the rocky cliffs, the time is perfect for quiet walks in the forest solitude. On sunny winter days, nothing is more beautiful than skiing cross-country over the sparkling snowy fields and slopes of the Logarska dolina valley 24,38 km2, no settlements, 35 residents

The Logarska dolina Landscape Park and its surroundings offer numerous possibilities for spending your leisure time actively.
You can enjoy • hiking, bicycling, mountaineering, climbing; • riding, carriage and hay wagon rides; • skiing, sledding, cross-country skiing, sleigh rides; • snowshoeing, ski touring, ice climbing; • entertaining games and programs for groups; • accommodation at a family hotel, pensions, tourist farms, mountain lodges, private rooms; • delicious local food; • contact with the natural and cultural heritage of the area; • exploring the area with a local guide.
Access to park By car and bus directly to Logarska dolina. Buses run from Ljubljana through Kamnik to Ljubno ob Savinji where you change buses for Solčava. Bus schedules are irregular, so we recommend checking on connections in advance. Trains run to Celje where you can take a bus to Logarska dolina. By prior arrangement, we will organize transportation to Logarska dolina from anywhere in Slovenia.
