Zgornja Radovna is a unique little village entirely located within the territory of the Triglav National Park. It is situated in the Radovna valley, caught between the slopes of the Pokljuka and Mežakla plateaus, and is full of humpy meadows covered with a sea of wild flowers in Spring and Summer.
In order to enable everyone to appreciate the many natural beauty spots and cultural sights of the area, the municipality of Kranjska Gora, with the help of other sponsors, has established a culture trail. It starts with the Pocarjeva house, one of the oldest houses in the Triglav National Park, dating back to 1775.
The Gogalova lipa (lime tree) grows next to the farm building outside the Gogalova house, and it is now around 500 years old. Just 300 metres below the source of the river Radovna beneath the steep wall of Pokljuka, you will find the Psnakova sawmill and a mill, both of which only operated occasionally.
Humpy meadows can be found in the area of the Julian Alps in the valleys of Radovna, Kot and Krma as well as in Bohinj, Pokljuka, Mezakla, the Vrata valley and Posocje.
