The Postojna cave system also includes the Black Cave and Pivka Cave. Pivka Cave offers a unique insight into the underground channel of the river Pivka and is the only point in the entire cave system where it is possible to visit passages through which the river flows. A walk through the cave reveals the secret of the formation of the underground passages and provides a wonderful illustration of the power of flowing water.

Visitors pass through a man-made tunnel into the Black Cave, where thousands of tiny crystals glow on the dark stalagmites and stalactites, creating a magical spectacle.
