A roadside village lies in a valley where the torrential river Raša flows into the river Branica, which in small torrents flows into the river Vipava. By the river Branica once milled four mills that are now abandoned and in ruins. The inhabitants of the Branica river valley are well-known after the production of tasteful white wines and the growing of apple and plum trees.
