This lumpy village is situated in the upper part of the river Branica valley, which represents the North edge of the Karst plateau and the South edge of the Vipavska valley. The village is surrounded by hills Lukovnik, Čela and Stara reber. In the village vicinity, on Komarče, is the main spring of the river Branica. In the village are also a chapel and a memorial plaque, at the foothills of the hill Štjaški hrib, dedicated to the camp of the first group of partisans in Primorska region. On the areas exposed to the sun are several vineyards.
