Sveto is situated in the heart of the Komen Karst. Its main interesting features can be found in the village centre. The first one is the church of St. Tilen, which represents one of the most important monuments of sacral architecture in Slovenia (it is unique thanks to its octagonal nave from 1579 and its umbrella-shaped roof construction, which leans on a single column). The second feature, standing by the church is a lime tree, which
is approximately 500 years old. Apart from this, the village includes a burial place from the First World War, NOB monuments and numerous caverns in the village surroundings. The local “osmica” also opens during the holidays for the first of May.
