This small spread out settlement encircles the viniferous sloping hills of the area, some of which have marked
routes for cyclists and also marked footpaths. The area also contains a subsidiary primary school, a kindergarten
and a post office. The community center offers inhabitants the opportunity for socializing and recreation.

The pilgrimage church of Saint Ema stands on a hill of the same name. The existing church was built in 1717
and is the successor to an older medieval church from the 15th century. The church was renovated in 1835
and in 1927 and is considered to be among the most important examples of sacral baroque architecture in this area.

The Emina pilgrim path runs through this area linking others to it, which creates an immediate connection
to the life lead by Saint Ema. Scattered around the small surrounding hills and valleys are the four subsidiary churches of Saint Vida, Saint Areh, Saint Urban and the church of Saint Katarina.
