A small-size settlement under Kraški rob is the seat of the parish and a rich source of Roman and early medieval findings. In the church cemetery and its surroundings, remnants of an early medieval Slavic settlement and burial place with skeletons have been discovered. Located in the cemetery is also the Church of St. John with a bell tower, which was made by the stonecutter Benko from Sočerga in the 15th century. Benko also made the precious custodia built into the north wall of the Gothic presbytery.
