The settlement Loški Potok is the centre of the municipality, which carries the same name and lies on the border between the Lower Carniola (Dolenjska), Inner Carniola (Notranjska) and Gorski Kotar. Loški Potok consists of six villages: Hrib, Retje, Travnik, Mali Log, Šegova vas and Srednja vas. Hrib is the centre with all the important institutions (the seat of the municipality, school, health centre, post office, bank...). Above Hrib rises Tabor with the Parish Church of St. Leonard (sv. Lenart) and the Church of St. Barbara. There is a beautiful view on the villages of Loški Potok and the nearby hills.
