Slovenia is an inspiration for mountain and hill lovers. The finest peaks are in the
Julian Alps, home

of Slovenia’s highest mountain, Triglav, and in the
Kamniško - Savinjske Alps. The
Karavanke range also features peaks rising above two thousand metres. There are plentiful hills almost throughout the entire country, and even in the plains to the east of Slovenia there are numerous rises and low hills. Slovenia’s mountains and hills attract hikers with their
well-marked trails, and where they get difficult there is also adequate
protection. Going into the mountains is one of the most popular activities in Slovenia.
