Church of St Lucy in Zadnja vas

 Under the panoramic road, which winds its way beneath the slopes of Mt. Dobrča between Begunje and Tržič, stands the Church of St Lucy. Owing to its onetime reputation as a place of healing, and its patron saint, St Lucy, it was once a popular destination for people with eye problems. It was first mentioned in 1464 as the Church of St Jodocus, and only at the end of the seventeenth century was it referred to as the Church of St Lucy. In the seventeenth century, the church was given a rectangular nave with cut-off corners and a porch.
The elegantly carved rich Renaissance portal, made from Peračica Quarry green tuff, with the year 1663 inscribed on it, also dates back to this period. On the porch wall, there is a fresco of the Mother of God of the Rosary between two saints.
The high altar was made in the Baroque style, but was substantially remodelled by Gollmayer, a stonecutter from the town of Radovljica, in 1777. The altar of St Jodocus takes pride of place in the chapel, while the side altars are dedicated to the Holy Family and St Sebastian.
