The Fabjan clinic for plastic surgery is in the hamlet of Kolomban above Ankaran within easy reach of the Italian border and enjoys gorgeous views of Trieste and Koper bays. The 550-sqm premises incorporate surgeries, an operating block with two operating theatres, recuperation areas and a beauty salon.

The team of five medical specialists is led by Dr Marjan Fabjan, a plastic surgeon, who is an active member of ISAPSA (The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery). The team perform over 1,000 aesthetic surgeries a year, including breast correction, body shaping, cosmetic facial surgery and laser therapies.

In Dr Fabjan's own words, 'the intention of cosmetic surgery is to help those who are not happy with their self-image and find it difficult to accept themselves as they are. Thus cosmetic surgery is not an end in itself, but rather is a help to patients. The role of the surgeon's knife is to assist people, who have a soul, personality and emotions.'

Cosmetic facial surgery includes face lifts, ear pinning, nose correction, correction of upper and lower eyelids, rejuvenation of the face using lipofixing (autologous fat transfer), lip implants and botox injections.

Body shaping includes breast augmentation and reduction, uplift of individual breasts, liposuction, lipolysis, tummy tucks and gynecomastia.

Laser therapies include laser capillary removal, laser removal of benign skin changes, laser hair removal, laser photo rejuvenation and laser removal of wrinkles around the eyes and mouth.
