Nujec is the homestead name used by the Balon family for purposes of better recognition of this winemaking family in Bizeljsko.

The centuries-old name Nujec originates from their homestead in the village of Gregovce with an underground wine cellar that can store up to 50.000 litres of wine right between the roots of the oldest oak tree in Slovenia. Although the oak tree has already succumbed to old age and the great Capricorn beetle, it is still magnificent and worth seeing. The oak is also a symbol of our wines.

The farm comprises 20 hectares of farmland, 5 hectares of which are vineyards. There are a total of around 25.000 grape vines. In the center of Bizeljsko we have a wine shop that can receive up to 45 people. It also has a tasting room where you can taste a wide range of our wines accompanied by homemade cold cuts containing salami, ham, bacon and smoked shoulder butt. All these homemade specialties are made from pigs grown on our farm and fed homegrown food, which provides us with high-quality pork for making our products.
