Ljubljana Castle has been the main symbol of the capital city for centuries. Today it is a pleasant meeting point of citizens and an attractive tourist site. It has been managed by Ljubljana Festival since the year 2000, and has been organizing different cultural and other events throughout the year. From the tower, there is a wonderful view across the city and the surroundings. In the Virtual Museum, the extensive and interesting history of the city is presented in a special manner - in the stereoscope projection. We also organize guided tours in Slovene and in foreign languages in which a short history of the castle and the Castle Hill are presented. You can stop at the Castle Bar, Rustika Gallery, or visit a puppet theatre performance, exhibition, or a concert at the Summer Festival. The Virtual Museum and tower are open all days of the year, in winter (1/10 – 30/4) from 10.00 to 18.00, and in summer (1/5 – 30/9) from 9.00 to 21.00. Projections in the Virtual Museum run every half hour, on the hour and half hour.
