The Jesenko trail (Jesenkova pot) one of the features of Rožnik is a study trail named after the botanist and geneticist Fran Jesenko (1875 ? 1932). Approximately 3 km long, the Jesenko Trail, which is ideal for a nice stroll, begins in Tivoli by Pot pod turnom, runs along the slope of Rožnik behind villa Bellevue and ends at the Tivoli Mansion. Along it are signs denoting 30 different species of tree: black beech, small ? leaf linden (lime), trambling poplar (aspen), black elder, common pine and common hazel, willow, beech, alpine meaple, great ash, robinia, red maple, red oak, common birch, spruce (omorika picea), green lindley (Pseudotsuga douglasii), Californian cedar, weeping willow, Lawson's cypress, Canadian stuga (hamlock spruce), Austrian pine, wild cherry, yew, European larch, mountain ash (rowan), real chestnut, red pine, sessile oak, wild chestnut and white beech.
