By the road at the village
Kal-Koritnica there is a monument to the partisans who died at the
Golobar alpine pasture in the worst battle of World War II in the area of
Bovec.
On 26th April 1943, at the time of the forming of the Gradnik's Brigade, the Italians surrounded the gathered partisans at
Golobar alpine pasture and 42 soldiers died in the cross fire.
Their bodies were taken to the village
Kal-Koritnica, and at the place where the monument stands today, they were put on lorries and transported to
Bovec, where they were buried in a collective tomb at the local cemetery.
