The Kamniška Bistrica valley in the heart of the Kamniške Alps is bordered on one side by the Krvavec massif and on the other by the Velika planina range. The high plateau is sprinkled with herdsmen’s huts and holiday cabins. From spring to winter it offers varied hikes from one herdsmen’s settlement to another, and in winter family skiing is especially popular since the wide gentle terrain does not demand great skiing skills.
