The Mons Hotel won the Sejalec award with its innovative design and creative promotional activities. The first hotel of its kind, it was constructed according to the idea of world-renowned architects Prof. Boris Podrecca and Miha Dobrin. Its seemingly simple interior and exterior reveal numerous stories and plays. From the placement of architecture in nature to the positive attitude towards its natural surroundings, the hotel approaches, delineation and peace at a point of constant motion. Constant motion is also the subject of the sculpture by Karl Schlamineger, entitled “Perpetual pendulum”, located in the lobby of the hotel – its heart, which, over the years, has become a true distinctive token of the Mons Hotel.

The Hotel, located at the meeting point of all major roads in Slovenia, is also a meeting point of other stories: the light, two volumes loaded one over the other, a story of colours, contracts, light and heavy, etc. The modernity of architecture is also reflected in the hotel’s contemporary, daring approaches to its promotional activities.
