The church of St. George stands at the edge of the terraces above Šmartno. Fundamentally it is from the late Romantic period of the 13^th century, however in the 17^th century it partly fell down, so that today it does not show its true age. The church with its glass floor exposes early Middle Age remains from the 9^th century.
