The parish church of St. John the Baptist built the immediate vicinity of an ancient settlement of an old-Slavic skeleton burial ground from 9th to 11th centuries. In 1461, the masters Benko and Jakša from Sočerga erected the bell tower; dating from the same period there is also a Gothic presbytery.
